The Big Catch

A few weeks ago Kenora held its Winter Carnival.  The Gray girls participated in the snow sculpting event again this year and they did a fabulous job.  We had fun visiting and helping along the way.

This is how it all starts - a big block of snow.

Baylee and Gramma checking things out.

This is the fisherman, looking down into what would soon
be a hole in the ice, where he would see a musky.

Baylee's favourite thing to do was make
bum prints along the sidewalk
(all the way to Husky the Musky)!

Here's the finished product at the fireworks show to kick off the carnival.
Great job girls!
Baylee loved the fireworks, it was her first time seeing them and
she was stunned.  We YouTubed fireworks videos before
we left so that she knew what to expect (including the "pop").

Check out this site to see pics of the other contestants.
"The Big Catch" won First Place in the Theme Competition.
The theme was "Favourite Winter Pastime"
